Too often, mathematics is taught as a series of rigid formulas to be memorized under stressful time constraints. This rote approach leads to early math anxiety and makes students withdraw.
At MathTug, our mission is to change this narrative. We build visual, collaborative, and gamified tools that turn math into an adventure. By moving math onto the big screen, we encourage classroom discussion, teamwork, and critical reasoning, making math a subject of curiosity and joy.
Meet the Creator
Shubham — Math Educator & Software Engineer
Hello! I am Shubham, the founder and lead developer of MathTug. With a background in software engineering and a deep passion for teaching, I saw a gap in the classroom resources available for teachers. Most tools were designed for solitary tablet screen-time, separating students rather than bringing them together.
I created MathTug to leverage the power of smartboards, projectors, and interactive whiteboards. By gamifying math into collaborative battles like Tug of War and spatial puzzles like Arrow Puzzle, I want to support teachers and parents in making math learning active and anxiety-free.
